How to delete gmail account

If you want to delete your Gmail account, please follow these steps:

Important Note: Deleting your Gmail account will also delete your associated Google services and data, such as Google Drive files, YouTube channel, and Google Photos. Make sure to back up any important data before proceeding.

1. Sign In to Your Google Account:

   • Open a web browser and go to the Google Account sign-in page: https://accounts.google.com
   • Enter your Gmail address and password to sign in.

2. Access Account Preferences:

3. Navigate to Data & Personalization:

4. Delete a Service or Your Account:

   • Scroll down to the "Download, delete, or make a plan for your data" section.
   • Under the "Delete a service or your account" section, click on "Delete a service."

5. Confirm Your Identity:

   • You might be asked to enter your password again for security purposes.

6. Choose the Service to Delete:

   • You'll see a list of Google services associated with your account. Click on "Delete a service" next to "Gmail."

7. Review and Confirm:

   • A confirmation page will appear with information about what will happen when you delete your Gmail account. Review this information carefully.
   • You may need to enter an alternative email address where Google can contact you if needed.

8. Verify Your Decision:

   • Google will send a verification code to your alternative email address. Retrieve the code and enter it on the verification page.

9. Delete Gmail Account:

   • Once the verification code is entered, you'll be given the option to "Delete Gmail." Click on this option.

10. Follow the Prompts:

    • Follow any additional prompts or instructions to confirm the deletion of your Gmail account.

After completing these steps, your Gmail account will be deleted. It may take a few days for the deletion process to be finalized. During this time, you can still recover your account if you change your mind.
